The Italian Hard Cheese belongs to the family of hard cheeses manufactured according to old Italian traditions.

 

It’s an excellent alternative for more expensive “parmesan cheeses” as the flavor of this cheese is quite lovely. It’s usually grated or shaved and ideal to use over pasta, as well as stirred into soup or risotto. It’s a key ingredient in pesto.

 

Many people enjoy the taste of hard cheese sprinkled over popcorn, on Italian bread, melted into sauces or grated over a salad.

Grated over pasta-dishes, gratins or into salads.
